New Bike

Woohoo Amy got a new bike.

Saturday Bubba made it all the way around the Dwelling Loop. He walked most of the up-hills, but he rocked all the down hills. I was pretty impressed. He seemed like he had fun which is the most important part.

Today Amy and I went to Dauset. Amy took this wonderful picture of me.

I always make these terrible faces when I am riding my bike so Amy came up with a brilliant solution. That nice tree is much easier to look at.

I also saw these big ass birds. No idea what they were.

Turkey Vultures?

Anyway looks like a good bike choice. My wife just bought the same saddle as that one has for her Santa Cruz and loves it.

Those Specialized folks seem to be the best folks to understand women. Maybe they could teach us all something?

Congratulations to Amy on the new bike! And well done to Christopher on Dwelling.

Trees are pretty, but I'd rather see your smiling face! your comment made me laugh;) Now you know why I like to be behind the lens of the camera.

I will read the owner's manual that came with Amy's bike when I get home and let you know if I pick up any tips. If women would only write their own owner's manual and give it to you on your first date, then life would be so much simpler.

Seriously I have been riding Amy's bike around and I like the saddle as well. My butt is much more J-Lo than Hank Hill so maybe the reason I have never found a comfortable saddle is because I have been shopping for saddles made for the wrong gender.

James is too kind. It's a well known fact that I am one of the worst picture-takers ever! I come by it honestly, because my mother rarely took a photo that didn't have a blurred image of her finger poised over the lens!

We had such a great weekend! I love the little town of Indian Springs near the Dausett trails. We had lunch at a cute sandwich place called Pinky's Parlor--great sandwiches and homemade desserts. Our other favorite place to eat nearby is Fresh Air BBQ. I love the chopped pork sandwiches! We noticed an ice cream shop in Indian Springs that we will have to be sure to hit next time!

Cool looking bike! James if you haven't tried the WTB Rocket V slt, give it a shot, I loved it. Although I hear good things about the specialized saddles too.
